The Journal of Ferrari History
Cavallino is the journal of Ferrari history, covering Ferraris old and new for over 40 years. It's the most reliable, most trusted source of everything Ferrari. Ever since the first issue in 1978 Cavallino presents extensive stories and detailed information from knowledgeable experts and enthusiasts who share the passion for Ferrari. All Ferraris are unique, and each one has its own chassis serial number. This is how the Ferrari world keeps track of all the great cars. Cavallino is the only publication that prints the serial number for every Ferrari mentioned in our stories, articles, and race results.

It was founded in 1962, and the first annual meeting was held in November of 1962 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Since the 1960s, the FCA Annual Meeting is organized every year by a different region, and this year the annual meet, the track, and the concours was hosted by the Mid-Atlantic Region (MAR), from May 31 to June 4, 2006 in the historic countryside just outside of Washington, DC. |

If the accepted concept of a concours show is "beautiful and elegant automobiles in beautiful and cultured surroundings," then Villa d'Este can be credited with defining the format once and for all. |

Kalikow, was exhibited at the recent 2006 Villa d'Este Concours d'Elégance. Mr. Kalikow asked Pininfarina to design, engineer and build a special version of the 612 Scaglietti, to enhance the car's own elegance and exclusiveness. This request was accepted by Ferrari, as an enhancement of its own tradition of creating exclusive models for special customers. |

The author had the pleasure to locate this unique Barchetta in beautifully preserved and extremely original condition, and with a lovely patina. 0052 M had survived in the dry desert heat of Arizona in America, where it had been stored for many decades. |
